Quickstart: the app window
The quickest way in: the app’s window starts a sandbox with a few clicks and hosts the chat in your browser.
-
Open the window. Start code flower from the applications or Start menu, or run:
Terminal window codeflower clientIt opens a page in your browser at
http://127.0.0.1:7720/, served only to this computer. On Windows, macOS and many Linux desktops it also adds an icon to the tray or menu bar. -
Start a sandbox. Under Server, choose:
- the agent: Claude Code, Codex, DeepSeek Harness or OpenCode
- Input data folders (read-only), Output folders (read-write), and optionally Code folders (repositories the agent may change) and Skills, with Add folder…
- whether to Isolate the network (see Network isolation)
- under Advanced, the Project name: chats, logins and installed software are kept per project
Then Start sandbox. The first start downloads the sandbox image, which takes a few minutes.
-
Sign in the agent. The first time in a project, the sandbox says it is not signed in. Choose Sign in… and use your subscription or an API key. See Signing in agents.
-
Chat. Choose New chat and describe what you want, e.g. “Explore the dataset in /data/input and suggest an analysis plan.” Files the agent shows open in tabs beside the chat.
- Chatting: modes, the
!shell, queueing messages, permissions. - Files and previews: upload data, download results, comment on figures.
- Remote access: open the same page from your phone.
- The app window: everything else the window does.
